Q:How many people can travel on the Big Red Fire Engine at one time?

A: The Big Red Fire Engine seats 12 adults or up to 16 children

Q: What if the weather is not so nice?

A:The Big Red Fire Engine has weather protection for passengers. Clear plastic covers can we raised to enjoy the good weather or lowered for those cooler days

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: No. However we must have at least one adult traveling with a group of children.

Q:How much does it cost?

A: Our rate is $250.00 per hour. That works out to only $21 per person for 12 people. Even less with a larger group.

    Half Hour $165
    Full Hour $250
    2 hours $220 per hour
    3 hours $195 per hour
    4 hours $165 per hour

Q: What is the minimum hire time?

A: One hour. However if you are booking for Albany (only) half hour rides are available for $165.00
But you can split the hire time into several shorter trips , this is popular with children's parties and hen nights.

Q: I am booking for a child's birthday, does the birthday child get any special treatment?

A: Yes, the birthday child gets to keep his own Fireman's Helmet plus an Honory FireFighter's Certificate with their photo in front of the Big Red Fire Engine. All the children will be outfitted in minature fireman's suits if they wish.

Q: Are the Big Red Fire Engines real Fire Engines?

A: Yes, They have  been decommissioned by the Fire Service. The Big Red Fire Engine in Perth is a 1964 Austin and Albany has a 1959 Austin

Q: Can we bring our own music?

A; Yes. You are welcome to bring your own CD or MP3

Q: Does the Big Red Fire Engine have flashing lights, bells and sirens?

A: Yes, but by law we are not allowed to travel with these going.

Q: Are seatbelts fitted?

A: No. For safety reasons, and by law seatbelts are not fitted. This is because of the longitude seating. It is considered safer not to be in seatbelts.

Q: How is the Big Red Fire Engine Licenced?

A: The Big Red Fire Engine is licenced and regularly inspected by the Transport Department of Western Australia.

Q: Do I need to pay a deposit

A: Yes 50% deposit is required on booking.
